چکیده

Abstract Within the framework of kinetic theory, nonlinear interaction electromagnetic waves (EMWs) with a degenerate electron-ion plasma is studied to account for electron quantum mechanical effects. For this purpose, specific regime considered, which Fermi velocity assumed be taken order group EMWs. This eventually leads existence Landau damping rate EMWs in presence Ponderomotive force. The electrons-ion density oscillations may arisen from EMWs, leading new type Schrödinger equation terms complex amplitude pump wave. profiles reveal that become less damped increasing tunnelling electrostatic response linear also investigated and derived dispersion ion-acoustic rate. latter direct function speed does not rely on Bohm tunneling effect. obtained results are numerically analyzed two microwaves different harmonics context nonrelativistic astrophysical dense environments, e.g., white dwarfs, where corrections cannot ignored.

Linear and Nonlinear Dust Acoustic Waves in Quantum Dusty Electron-Positron-Ion Plasma

The behavior of linear and nonlinear dust acoustic waves (DAWs) in an unmagnetized plasma including inertialess electrons and positrons, ions, and mobile positive/negative dust grains are studied. Reductive perturbation method is employed for small and finite amplitude DAWs. To investigate the solitary waves, the Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equation is derived and the solution is presented. B...

Perpendicular nonlinear waves in an electron–positron–ion plasma

Waves propagating perpendicular to a magnetic field in a plasma consisting of electrons, positrons, and ions are studied theoretically and numerically. In a three component plasma, there appears a frequency domain in which the magnetosonic waves cannot propagate; thus, we have two separate modes below the electron cyclotron frequency. Their dispersion relations are discussed. Then, Korteweg–de ...

Surface Waves in Degenerate Plasma

In his 1968 paper [2], R.L. Guernsey derived the dispersion relation for surface waves on a semi infinite plasma confined by a perfect reflecting wall. The aim of the current project is to extend these results to the case of a fully degenerate electron gas described by the unit step function (a limiting case of the FermiDirac distribution). By only considering the effects of the distribution fu...

Dispersion relation for electron waves propagating in an isotropic plasma containing Maxwellian and suprathermal electrons

The paper discusses the dispersion relation for longitudinal electron waves propagating in a collisionless, homogeneous isotropic plasma, which contains both Maxwellian and suprathermal electrons. I t is found that the dispersion curve, known to have two separate branches for zero suprathermal energy spread, depends sensitively on this quantity. As the energy half-width of the suprathermal popu...

0 6 Nonlinear propagation of broadband intense electromagnetic waves in an electron – positron plasma

A kinetic equation describing the nonlinear evolution of intense electromagnetic pulses in electron–positron (e-p) plasmas is presented. The modulational instability is analyzed for a relativistically intense partially coherent pulse, and it is found that the modulational instability is inhibited by the spectral pulse broadening. A numerical study for the one-dimensional kinetic photon equation...
